About WINERY:
Lakeside Cellars is a family-owned winery situated on the eastern shores of Lake Osoyoos in British Columbia's South Okanagan. The 14-acre estate, once part of the historic Haynes Homestead and the region's first commercial orchard, was acquired by Harbans and Harkesh Dhaliwal in 2015. They preserved elements of the original 1882 homestead by incorporating salvaged materials into the winery's tasting room, honoring the site's rich agricultural heritage.
The Dhaliwal family, with deep roots in farming, transitioned from soft fruit orchards to vineyards in the early 2000s. Under the guidance of their son, Rick Dhaliwal—co-owner, winemaker, and viticulturist—the winery cultivates varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Cabernet Franc. These wines reflect the unique terroir of Canada's only desert region, offering vibrant fruit profiles balanced with refreshing acidity.
